Thought for the Day - Open Your Eyes

Just because you can't see your greatness doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Hmm? Let's meditate on that today.

Thought for the Day - Light Up for Your Future

Your future will only be bright when you light up in the present. ~ Melinda J.

What is this word saying to you?

Get a Life before Life Gets You

It's so easy to get caught up in the "woulda, coulda, shoulda" mentality and have nothing to show for it. I know I am tired of being weighed down by life and only dreaming of what I can do, instead of just doing it.

2013 is here, so let's take each day to get closer to making our dreams a reality. Write down what you want to see happen in 2013, and find a way to make it happen. At least that's what I will do. I have a life and I will not allow life to get me anymore. Get me how, you ask? Get me in fear, loss of focus, negative thoughts, and anything else that would keep me from pursuing my dreams. I want to always keep moving forward. Even if I make mistakes, the point is to keep moving and be better.

It's time to be inspired to do great things this year. Not because of a resolution, but an opportunity to see how impactful my life can be for me and for others. It doesn't have to be a big idea, but just small things that eventually will lead to big things. I am excited to see what each day will bring.

Will you do it too? I encourage you to embrace the idea, and go get a life!

Say A Prayer: It's a New Year!

Dear Heavenly Father:

The new year is here and I am excited! As I reflect on what has passed, I looked to the future with a greater sense of hope and desire to achieve more,  and be the best me you have created me to be. I will live in the "now" and allow each step I take to always be directed and guided by you. I know you are with me and all will be well. I will walk in boldness, confidence, and love as I discover new revelations on the journey. The assignment is great, but you have already equipped and favored me for the task ahead. Thank you for showing me "You" in everything that surrounds me. It begins today. Amen.

Say a Prayer: End Fear and Breathe Faith

Dear Heavenly Father,

I remember how you took away my fears and cause me to breathe faith when I began to understand your love and purpose for my life. It was a challenging journey, but I now feel liberated, motivated, courageous, and bold to stand up and stand out.

Today, I pray that you will deliver all who may be experiencing pangs of fear, confusion, and helplessness. May this day birth the faith that moves all negativity, so as they breathe your air and recognize that they are still here, they would allow you to show them what they can be when they let you lead. As you have said in your word, "who the son sets free is free indeed." Let freedom be embraced, and let the joy that faith brings be experienced today, in Jesus's name. Amen.

Be encourage and don't give up! Have a blessed day.

When Your Possibility Becomes a Reality

I was telling my mom the other day that there's a possibility that I may not be able to have lunch with her because there's a spot open for me to attend a special luncheon, so I will call her and let her know.

As I waited for a response, my boss says to me "let's go, I'm sure the spot will become available." He convinced me to go along with his proposal since I knew, he knew people. I text my mom to let her know that I am attending the luncheon. When I got back to work, I called her to see if she received my text because I saw a missed call from her. She told me she did, but she was calling me for something else. As I was relaying the story to her about the luncheon and it being a possibility, her response to me was "I expected you to be at that luncheon because you possibility is always a reality." When those words hit my ears, I realize how true in life that is. When we believe and speak the possibility, it does become a reality. In this case, my boss spoke my possibility of attending that luncheon, but I believed him, that's why I went. From this day forward, this is my quote:

"When I speak my possibility it becomes my reality." ~ Melinda J.

Has any of your possibilities ever turned into a reality? I would love to hear from you.

Have You Smiled Today?

There are so many grumpy people in the world, walking around in depression, frustrations, and worries. Sometimes all they need is a smile to let them know that the things in their lives can and will change. So have you smile today? You never know whose blues you just chased away.
